Lord, tonight I’m not asking for a lesson. Not a breakthrough. Not a revelation. Not another mountain to climb.
Tonight, I’m asking for rest.
Let this be a night where my mind loosens its grip, where my heart stops rehearsing old battles, where my spirit can finally exhale.
Speak softly to me in the quiet, the way only You can. Let me hear You say, “You did enough today. You are enough today.”
Let sleep come without guilt. Let peace come without earning it. Let stillness come without fear of what tomorrow holds.
And if growth must happen, let it happen gently — in the background, in the silence, in the places You heal without my effort.
Tonight, I lay down the weight I wasn’t meant to carry alone. I release the pressure to be strong every moment. I release the fear of not doing enough. I release the noise that keeps me from hearing You.
Wrap me in the kind of rest that restores, the kind that reminds me I am held, the kind that reminds me I am loved, the kind that reminds me I am safe.
Let tonight be simple. Let tonight be soft. Let tonight be Yours.
Amen.
